Dr. Byron Ernest has spent his career helping leaders create environments where trust, growth, and collaboration thrive. With years of experience in education and leadership, his work focuses on making a real difference in the lives of people and the organizations they lead. He believes that leadership is about more than just authority; it’s about inspiring others and making lasting, positive change.

His leadership approach is rooted in values like authenticity, integrity, and growth, ensuring that those he works with feel empowered, valued, and motivated to lead themselves.

Key Achievements & Experience

    • Served as a highly effective teacher for three decades gaining honors of Indiana Teacher of the Year (2010) and Christopher Columbus Foundation Outstanding National Agriscience Teacher (2011)

    • Received the 2026 FLUXX Global Pioneer Award for Global Education Innovator of the Year in Manila, Philippines
    • Received the 2024 Impact Global Leadership Award in Dubai, United Arab Emerites

    • As a Principal, successfully turned around Emmerich Manual High School in Indianapolis, focusing on improving both culture and student outcomes

    • Served as a school Superintendent/Head of Schools and developed a national teacher leader program as a director of educator development and partnerships

    • Played a key role in the Indiana State Board of Education, helping shape graduation pathways, Indiana diploma requirements, and a new/innovative Indiana school accountability system that better serve students
